OUT GEAR CYCLING

Interested in getting a good workout and meeting new people?

Out Gear is a drop-in cycling group for all members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and Allies. The cycling rides are open to any skill level. The pace is slow and designated cycling routes are followed. The rides will vary, but they will always leave from our meeting spot at The Forks and return there before 9 pm. There is no cost to join. Just bring yourself, a bicycle and helmet. Hope to see you Out There!

KEYSTONE CURLING CLUB

We are a mixed (any gender combination) curling league in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, open to LGBT2SQ+ people and their allies, of all ages and curling abilities.

We curl every Sunday from October to April at the Granite Curling Club in downtown Winnipeg. The Granite is the oldest curling club still in continuous existence in Manitoba founded in 1880. 

Every February long weekend we host the Bison Cup Bonspiel that attracts teams from across the country. 

The social aspect of curling is very important to the success of our league. It’s not uncommon for members to have lunch in the dining room before and after their Sunday afternoon game.  The public is welcome to watch our games and join us for our numerous social events throughout the winter including our annual social.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS (2020-2021):

Registration for the 2020-2021 season is now open.

Fees are $780 per team before the September 15, 2020 early bird deadline.

Registered alternate fees are $110 per alternate.

Fees are based on a 20 game season. The Granite Curling Club will be reimbursing fees if the season is cut short due to pandemic restrictions.

UMBRELLA BOXING

Who
This is for members of the LGBT2SQ* community, and people of marginalized genders, including non-binary folks, trans women, and trans men. This is a space for members of our community who do not feel safe or included in current gym or boxing club environments. It is for those who want to experience boxing and boxing fitness in an environment free of fatphobia, body-shaming, misogyny and other forms of discrimination and harmful messaging about health and fitness.

Where
1. Online (Zoom platform, contact enbyboxing@outlook.com for access) 
2. In-Person (locations vary).

When
1. Online classes typically run in the winter. Date and times vary. 35-45 minute duration.
2. In-Person classes run all year. Date and times vary. 45-60 minute duration.

How
Donation-Based/Pay-What-You-Can.
If you need help thinking of a number $5-$20 is recommended for in-person classes and $5 for online classes.
No-one turned away for less! Online classes can be paid through e-transfer, while in-person classes can be made at the time of the event in cash.

RAINBOW BILLIARDS

If you want to get out of the house and have some fun, join us for some 2SLGBTQ+ affirming billiards. No experience required. All are welcome. 

We meet every Wednesday at Flea Whiskey’s (601 Erin Street at Portage). We start at 6 pm and we generally go until about 9 pm. We split table costs and throw a looney in a hat for Out There Winnipeg and the Rainbow Resource Center.
