On July 15, 2002, a dozen gay and lesbian Winnipeggers established Out There Sports & Recreation, a volunteer-run organization for the 2SLGBTQ+ community to meet, socialize, be active, and have fun.

Since its inception, Out There Sports & Recreation, now known as Out There Winnipeg, has expanded its offerings to encompass more than 20 diverse activities, spanning from sports to recreational gatherings.

As Out There Winnipeg commemorates its 21st anniversary, the organization remains committed to providing the 2SLGBTQ+ community with a roster of activities made possible through the dedication of our generous volunteers.
