ASSINIBOINE FOREST & SARGENT SUNDAE

Join Out There this Saturday, April 26th for a walk around Assiniboine Forest that concludes with a sweet treat at the iconic Sargent Sundae.

MEETING POINT/TIME: We will be meeting on the North side of the Assiniboine Park foot bridge (corner of Portage and Overdale).  We will meet starting at 1:45, with a planned 2pm departure.

PLANNED ROUTE:  We will travel south through Assiniboine Park, before crossing Roblin and continuing along the parkway to the forest. After a scenic loop through the forest, we will head back north and end our walk at Sargent Sundae were a sweet treat awaits for those interested.
Expect a walk between 6 and 7 km taking roughly 2 hours.

REGISTRATION?: None needed. Simply meet us at the bridge before 2pm.

BUS/PARKING: Buses run regularly in both directions down Portage Ave. Residential parking can be found on the streets parallel to Overdale.

COST:  A loonie donation to Out There is requested. Sargent Sundae takes cash and debit.

GUESTS: This is a 2SLGBTQIA+ event. Guests should be allies or community members.

DOGS?: Provided they stay on leash and can match our pace, dogs are welcome.
