Join Out There this Sunday, November 10th for a refreshing walk along Sturgeon Creek.
We will be meeting in the parking lot of Woodhaven Park Community Club (200 Glendale Blvd.) beginning at 1:45pm, and departing at 2pm sharp. This walk weaves along Sturgeon Creek, crossing under Portage Avenue, past Grant's Old Mill and continues north towards Saskatchewan Avenue. Expect this walk to be between 5km and 6km and take roughly 2 hours.
Trail: A mix of paved and crushed gravel; a small stretch of grass at the extreme north end.
Parking: The Community Club has a moderately sized lot with street parking also available. The road to the Community Club is down a slight slope. A map of the area can be found here
Bus: The #11 will get you near Woodhaven and Portage. It is roughly a 5 minute walk south from Portage to the Community Club.
Cost: A loonie donation to Out There is requested.
Registration?: No. Simply meet us at the Community Club.
Guests?: This is a 2SLGBTQIA+ event; guests should be community members or allies.
Puppers?: Provided they stay on leash and can match our pace, dogs are welcome.
