LAGIMODIERE PARK/FORT GIBRALTAR WALK
Join Out There this Saturday, December7th @2pm as we stroll along the Siene and Red Rivers on a scenic afternoon. We will meet at the Subway on the corner of Provencher and Thibault (353 Provencher), beginning at 1:45pm before departing at 2pm sharp.
We will begin our walk by entering Lagemodiere Park, wind our way along the Siene and through the many hidden trails before turning south along the bank of the Red River. We will reach Fort Gibraltar,where we will turn back.
Trail Conditions will dictate the use of side trails and the total length of the walk.
Expect a walk of around 5km taking roughly 1.5 hours.
Cost: A loonie donation to Out There is requested.
Trail: Is mostly dirt. Cold, dry weather, should make for ideal conditions.
Parking: The Subway we are meeting at should have plenty of parking. If not, there are other nearby businesses.
Bus: There are several bus routes that run along Provencher. They may be spaced out on the weekend, so plan ahead.
Dogs?: Provided they are leashed, and can match our pace, absolutely!
Guests: This is a 2SLBBTQIA+ event, Guests should be community members or allies.
Weather: Dress for the forecast Saturday afternoon. We will be sheltered down by the rivers.
