Urban Walk

  • Meet Up at 980 Palmerston Ave. Winnipeg, MB, R3T 1X3 Canada (map)

WOLSELEY/WELLINGTON LOOP

Join Out There this Saturday, March 22nd  as we walk through some of the cities most scenic neighbourhoods.

MEETING POINT:  We will be meeting in front of Robert A. Steen Community Club (980 Palmerston Ave.) beginning at 1:45pm, before departing at 2pm sharp. Palmerston is one avenue South of Wolseley Avenue (right on the banks of the Assiniboine River).

PLANNED ROUTE:  We will be doing the West Loop that takes us down Wolseley toward Omand Park, where we will cross the foot bridge over the Assiniboine River. **If there is early flooding of Omand's Creek, we will take a slight deviation up to Portage Avenue.** Once across the river, we will turn East on Wellington Crescent all the way over to the Maryland Bridge. We will cross the Maryland Bridge and head back West on Wolseley back to the Community Club. This is roughly a 6km walk that should take between 1.5 to 2 hours.

PARKING:  There is a small lot at the Community Club, but it may be a safer bet to look for street parking near by.

BUS: The #10 bus has a stop at Wolseley and Ruby ( a two minute walk) OR a bus stop on Portage Ave. will leave a 5-10 minute walk to the Community Club.

REGISTRATION?: Not required for this walk, simply meet us at the Community Club.

COST: A loonie donation to Out There is requested.

GUESTS: This is a 2SLGBTQIA+ event. Guests should be communit members or allies.

PUPPERS: Dogs are welcome, provided they stay on leash and can match our pace.
